The Pelagos FXD is a technical watch that meets a unique set of specifications that was developed for underwater navigation in conjunction with the French Navy's combat swimmers, the prestigious Commando Hubert.
The Pelagos FXD is the result of a collaborative effort between TUDOR and a specialized unit of the French Navy, where unique specifications were meticulously developed. Crafted with a focus on underwater navigation and meticulously optimized for professional use, the Pelagos FXD stands as a pinnacle of purpose-driven design.
Underwater navigation requires precise course plotting while submerged. Divers, connected by a "lifeline" strap, follow a magnetic compass for straight swims. Each timed section is meticulously completed until the objective is achieved. The model's bezel aids countdown initiation and monitoring. Divers align section time on the bezel with the minute hand for accurate tracking and timing underwater.

TUDOR pays homage to its initial divers’ watches through the Black Bay 58, a timepiece that captures the essence of the era. With a slender design, it caters to those with smaller wrists, compact watch enthusiasts, and vintage lovers.
The name Black Bay is derived from the year 1958, when TUDOR introduced its first divers' watch capable of withstanding depths of 200m (660 ft) known as "Big Crown". In line with the proportions of the 1950s, the watch boasts a 39mm diameter case. Its steel screw-down winding crown, adorned with the TUDOR rose, enhances its visual appeal.
With a water resistance of 200m (660 ft), it suits both every day and underwater exploration. The unidirectional rotatable steel bezel features a captivating matte blue anodized aluminium disc with silver glided markings, complementing the blue domed dial protected by a durable sapphire crystal.
